Burn ban still in effect for South Mississippi

All of South Mississippi remains under a burn ban.

According to the Mississippi Forestry Commission, fires like campfires, bonfires, fire pits, and field burning are all prohibited under this order.

Prior to this burn ban being issued, many local and county governments had already issued local burn bans.
