Bulls on the Beach

The “Bulls on the Beach” event is back by popular demand in Bay St. Louis this weekend.
Tonight Buoy’s Bar and Grill kicked off the second annual “Bulls on the Beach” event with a meet and greet with the cowboys, a mechanical bull and live music.
The real party starts tomorrow when the bulls will buck on the sand right by the water. Organizers say “Bulls on the Beach” is an event unlike any other on the Coast or throughout the south. Roger Caplinger, part owner of Buoy’s Bar, said, “At Flora Bama’s they were kind of up on the highway, they’re in the sand, but you really can’t see the water. Here if the bulls were to get out the gate, they’re in the water. It’s really unique in that I think we’re actually the only true “Bulls on the Beach.’”
Tickets to tomorrow and Saturday’s event are $18 each or $30 for both nights. The professional bull riding will start at 8 p.m. both nights.
