Britton running for secretary of state

Earlier today, another big announcement was made on the steps of the Harrison County Courthouse.

Sam Britton announced that he is officially running for secretary of state. Britton currently serves as the public service commission for the southern district.

If elected, Britton wants to focus on economic growth for the state of Mississippi. “Mississippi is at the bottom of the list and quite honestly has been for almost 50 years. There have only been a couple of years that we have been off of the bottom. I believe we should ask ourselves the question ‘why?’ History and research shows that if you have the proper policies in place and the proper mix of things you can expand your economy.”

Britton was born and raised in Mississippi.
