Bring a Parent to P.E. Day

This week, plenty of parents skipped their usual lunch break to spend an hour being active with their elementary school student.
Active Schools is sponsoring a national movement to help schools provide at least 60 minutes a day of physical education before, during, and after school.
Pass Christian Elementary School joined in on the national movement, inviting parents to run and play with their student anytime between 8:45 a.m. and 2:25 p.m. P.E. Teacher Payton Ragon said, “It’s been great so far this week for us. We’ve had about 60 parents come. So, it’s really good. It’s been a blessing for us. So, we’re trying to get our parents and community members more involved in physical activities because they recommend 60 minutes a day and the more parents we get involved and on board, the better off we are as a school and as a community.”
Parents tested their endurance during various games and creative activities involving parachutes and flipping water bottles.
