Brickyard Bayou Bike Trail now open in Gulfport
For those of you who prefer a different type of work out, on a bike, there’s some new terrain you may want to try out.
Today, City of Gulfport leaders were on hand for a ribbon-cutting, officially celebrating the opening of a brand new 21-acre natural bike trail.
Located off Jeffrey Circle in Gulfport, the trail opened this morning and is for both adults and kids to enjoy. Biloxi Bicycle Works Owner Bart Luther said, “As far as quality of life, it really opens up a lot of opportunities to take advantage of this beautiful landscape we have, and also, economically, it lets people from other areas know this is a great place to live. I think the Coast has done a great job of offering economic opportunity. This also provides lifestyle opportunity and that’s what people are looking for.”
The bike trail is the latest addition to Brickyard Bayou Park which is already home to a bark park, 34th Street, holistic garden, and a disc golf course.
