Brees excited to play on Thanksgiving

Also hitting the football field on Thanksgiving night is the New Orleans Saints.

This will be the third time that the Black and Gold have played on Turkey Day and guess what? They haven’t lost yet.

The Saints will travel to Atlanta for a rematch of last year’s Thanksgiving matchup when New Orleans won 31-17.

While you might think ‘wow, what an inconvenience for those players,’ well think again as one notable Saint explains that Thanksgiving just wouldn’t be right without football. Saints Quarterback Drew Brees said, “There’s something about playing on Thanksgiving, I remember when I was a kid, growing up in Texas I’d always be watching the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, right, watching football. Football just goes with Thanksgiving. It’s like you can’t have one without the other and so, to ever think that someday I’d be playing on Thanksgiving, probably never thought that would happen.”

A win Thursday night would officially give the Saints their third straight NFC South title.
