Breakfast with the Mayor
This morning, Gautier Mayor Phil Torjusen hosted a breakfast to speak about all things going on in the city.
Over the past year, the city has seen a number of new businesses pop up, including a new payroll call center, Roy Rogers Communication, INC., as well as a brand new 15,000 square foot Harbor Freight Tools store.
As the city plans to continue growing economically, Ward 2 Councilman Richard Jackson says in his ward he plans to focus on creating a new space for children in the community to play and be safe.
Jackson says this development is something he has been pushing before he was even elected. “We are going to redevelop Bacot Park. We are going to get some basketball going in our area because we don’t have any basketball facilities in the entire city. It is time for a change in the city of Gautier and in ward 2. We are developing basketball and more sports. It’s going to be a beautiful park, somewhere you can bring your family and children and enjoy.”
