Body of Missing Man Located
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department has located the body of a man reported missing after a traffic accident. The wreck occurred January 5th on Highway 613 near T.C Whittington Road.
Witnesses say the victim ran into nearby woods before any emergency responders arrived. Two days later, the parents of 45-year-old Gerald Williamson reported their son had been missing since the morning of the accident. Williamson’s body was found today in a wooded area near the scene of the accident. An autopsy is being conducted.
