Body found identified as missing Picayune man Willie Jones

Pearl River County Coroner Derek Turnage has positively identified the body found on July 17th on Texas Flat Road in Hancock County as missing Picayune man Willie Jones.

Willie Jones has been missing since July 6th and officials later received a call on July 17th about a body found in a wooded area in Hancock County.

Turnage says Jones’ cause of death was from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.

Investigators say the suspects dumped Jones’ body in the woods off Texas Flat Road and later discovered the body 11 days after the shooting.

Austin Brookshire was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.

Dustin Gray was also charged as a murder suspect and two others, his wife Erica Gray, and a juvenile were accused of accessory after the fact of murder.
