Body believed to be Mollie Tibbetts found
A body believed to be that of 20-year-old missing college student Mollie Tibbetts has been recovered.
Investigators say the body was discovered in Poweshiek County, Iowa which includes Tibbetts’ hometown of Brooklyn.
The University of Iowa student was last seen July 18th in Brooklyn as she was on a routine evening jog. It’s unclear whether she returned to the home where she was dog-sitting for her boyfriend.
She was reported missing by her family the next day after she didn’t show up for work at a day camp for children.
Tibbetts’ disappearance set off a massive search and led to a $400,000 reward for any tip that led to her safe return.
