Board of Alderman Meeting in Ocean Springs

City officials in Ocean Springs may be compromising on two issues that have been the center of contention for some time.
A tattoo parlor in downtown and a new film ordinance.
Tattoo artist Matt Stebly, pleaded with the board to overturn the planning commission’s decision to not allow his tattoo parlor on Government Street in downtown Ocean Springs.
The board decided to draft an ordinance to modify the current C-2 zoning and allow tattoo studios in downtown. A decision Stebly feels is a step in the right direction.
