Blood Drive to Remember 9/11

Where were you on 9/11? It’s a question most of us can answer without hesitation. Some in South Mississippi want to ensure we never forget the tragedy that plagued our country that day in 2001.
On tomorrow’s anniversary, the American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive at the Senior Center in D’iberville. Preceding the drive will be a wreath laying ceremony by our local first responders to honor the hundreds of lives lost 14 years ago.
Organizer of this annual event, Norma Johnson, tells News 25 she volunteered in New York in the aftermath of 9/11 and made a promise to herself and those in the Empire State that we in Mississippi will never forget.
Tomorrow’s blood drive will go from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
