Blood drive to take place in Gautier September 29th

Due to an urgent need for all blood types, especially type O, the Gautier Rotary Club and Singing River Health System are sponsoring a blood drive September 29th from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

There are three different locations for the drive including Gulf Coast Gas off Highway 90. Gautier Rotary Club President Rico Borrazzo says before the coronavirus pandemic, blood drives were often held at the schools.

To keep up with social distancing protocol, Borazzo says the Rotary Club is reaching out to the community to help fill the need and save lives.

Those with Gulf Coast Gas say it is a good opportunity for the community and local business. Christopher Chau with Gulf Coast Gas said, “We just wanted to help out the community and give some exposure to this gas station we just opened last year.”

Appointments are required. You can call 800-85-BLOOD to schedule an appointment.
