Blessing of the Fleet poster unveiling

Local seafood royalty gathered at St. Michael Catholic Church this evening for a big poster reveal.

Past kings and queens as well as the 2021 Shrimp Queen contestants helped to reveal the official poster for the 92nd annual Biloxi Blessing of the Fleet.

This year’s poster features illustrations of various types of seafood, a fisherman, and St. Michael Church as well.

Blessing of the Fleet officials say that after having to release the poster virtually on Facebook last year, it’s good to be back with those who make the Blessing a special occasion. Blessing of the Fleet Chairperson Wendy Fayard said, “It is very beautiful. The artist did a great job. It represents all the different things that we stand here for. Representing our heritage, to continue our heritage, and that’s the whole reason it’s the 92nd Blessing of the Fleet, so that stands a lot for our Coast here, to celebrate it.”

This year’s Blessing of the Fleet will take place at 2 p.m. on May 30th in the Biloxi Harbor Channel.
