Blessing of the Classics rolls on in Diamondhead
It was Diamondhead’s turn to host Cruisin’ the Coast entertainment this evening and cars lined the streets of the city to say hi to the community and receive prayers for the ride ahead.
Faith leaders on the Coast have joined in on the Cruisin’ the Coast action by sending prayers and well wishes to those on the roads this week. Father Paddy Mockler said, “It’s a most beautiful event, you know to see all these beautiful cars and how well they’re maintained and the love people have for them and the way they put so much effort and work into them.”
Blessing of the Classics brought hundreds of cruisers and community members together on the roads of Diamondhead to take in all the sights and sounds.
Father Paddy Mockler and Pastor Cliff Burris spent hours interacting with car owners and saying blessings over their vehicles, praying for safety as they enjoy all the Coast has to offer. Pastor Burris said, “This year, with people fighting so many different things I think it’s a great opportunity to just speak blessing over their lives and their health.”
The blessing also serves as a big thank you to the Cruisers both near and far, who make the event so special year in and year out.
Pastor Burris says interacting with first-time Cruisers is especially fun. “It’s really intriguing to see how many different places people come from.”
And as Cruisin’ the Coast rolls on, Father Mockler reflects on how important this blessing is to many people. “It’s always good to have God’s blessing. With God on our side, all things are possible.”
