BISSELL sponsors pet adoption fee for “Holiday Hope” event at HSSM

If you’re considering adding a furry friend to your family this holiday season, the Humane Society of South Mississippi has nearly 300 pets for you to pick from.

Adopting offers families the opportunity to pick the pet that fits their lifestyle and avoid those after-Christmas surrenders.

Whether you have active children or you’re just looking for a cuddle buddy, the Humane Society can help you find the pet that will fit right in.

Bissell will be sponsoring pets. So, their adoptions will be $15. Each pet is vetted and comes with a bag of food.

The Humane Society wants you to find the perfect fit– so they can continue to spend Christmas with you for many years to come.

“We do want people to be aware that choosing a pet is a lifetime commitment. So, while we would love for you to come out, we want you to know that you should really consider the decision to take home a new family member carefully,” said Adoptions and Transport Manager Lisa Peterson, “And then come out and see all the wonderful, great dogs that we have because we really do need people to come adopt them.”

The BISSELL adoption event will run from December 1st through December 15th. Stop by HSSM and let them help you find a new best friend.

The Humane Society also offers sleepovers with adoptable pets. This way, interested adopters can take a pet home for a sleepover and see how they do in the home.
