Birding Trail Kiosks Added to Welcome Centers in MS

The Audubon’s electronic birding trail kiosk made its debut in two Mississippi welcome centers Tuesday.

The birding trail kiosks help highlight more than 40 birding sites around the state, supporting the growing nature tourism focus in Mississippi. The kiosks allow visitors to see what kinds of birds call Mississippi home and what areas of the state they can be found.

Malcolm White, Mississippi Director of Tourism, says, “The work that is being done down here on the Coast really is what we consider a prototype and template for how we will roll out nature tourism statewide, so we are here to honor the work that has been done by the Audubon and by our partners, but also to welcome them into the welcome center.”

For now, the kiosks can only be found in Hancock and Jackson County welcome centers.
