Biloxi’s Tim Jones headlines Southern Miss Pro Day
Earlier this month, former Southern Miss wide receiver Tim Jones was invited to the NFL Combine, but given the fact that there were no in-person workouts at this year’s combine for the first time ever, today’s Pro Day had a lot more riding on it than usual.
The former Biloxi Indian rose to the challenge in front of NFL scouts from 19 different teams. They say he’s built like a body guard and he impressed with a 4.45 40-yard dash time, according to Andrew Abadie of Pine Belt Sports.
Jones is one of the most productive wideouts to ever put on a Black and Gold uniform with 150 career receptions for more than 2,000 yards and nine touchdowns.
Jones was one of two former Golden Eagles taking part in today’s Pro Day alongside defensive back Ky’El Hemby.
