Biloxi Upper Elementary students salute the military

The respect for veterans is held high at Biloxi Upper Elementary School.
Students sung loud and proud celebrating all who have served our country during a Veterans Day program this afternoon. Art made by students hung on the school’s halls, welcoming parents into Biloxi Upper Elementary’s auditorium where the ceremony was held.
The program, called ‘Salute to the Military,’ began with the presentation of the flag done by the Biloxi High School Air Force ROTC. Chief Master Sgt. Anthony Fisher of the United States Air Force was the guest speaker. The presentation ended with a tribute to our veterans and the Star Spangled Banner.
“To the veterans that are with us here today and to families of veterans, we thank you and will not forget the sacrifices you made for us.”
Parents or grandparents who were veterans that attended were asked to stand and were given a special salute from the students.
