Biloxi Upper Elementary hosted Fall Festival

The first Fall Festival at Biloxi Upper Elementary School was a huge success.

Both gyms filled with family friendly activities put together by the school’s PTA and local businesses.

Kids stood in line for face painting, a cake walk, pumpkin tic-tac-toe, balloon darts, bounce houses, and more.

The money raised from the $5 entry fee will be used to invest right back in the school. Biloxi Upper Principal Jamie Barnes said, “We’re hoping to fund initiatives for Biloxi Upper like this again, but really, we want to make this a special place for kids. Our PTA is attempting to raise funds to help offset the cost of playground equipment and so that is the big picture goal that we’re shooting for.”

Principal Barnes tells News 25 he wasn’t expecting such a large turnout, but feels the love from students’ families to give back to their school.
