Shuckers hosting the Rocket City Trash Pandass.
Shuckers win 6-2. Zavier Warren said, “Yeah, it’s really fun. I mean it’s a lot of energy. That’s what you kind of build off of and try to build those big innings and just keep the pressure on. I think we were just looking for heaters. He didn’t have much location of the other stuff in the first inning, so just stay aggressive to the fastball and then try to adjust after that.”
The Shuckers and Trash Pandas get right back at it tomorrow for a double-header, leading off at 5:35 p.m.
For the first time since July 2017, the Biloxi Shuckers sweeping the Milwaukee Brewers Minor League player of the month awards, going to seventh ranked prospect Tyler Black and right-handed pitcher Justin Jarvis.
Black ended the month of April as the team leader in batting average, on-base percentage, ops, home runs, and stolen bases.
Jarvis leading the Shuckers through four starts with a 1.57 ERA.
