Biloxi Shuckers vs. Milwaukee Brewers
Tomorrow is the big day. The Biloxi Shuckers will face off against their parent MLB team the Milwaukee Brewers at MGM Park. It will be the first time a Major League Baseball team visits Biloxi since 1938 when the Philadelphia Phillies held spring training in Biloxi.
Gates will open at 11 and fans will have a chance to meet the Major Leaguers who will sign autographs from 11:05 until 11:30. First pitch is set for 1:10.
Select tickets are still available. You can purchase them online or at the MGM Park box office.
Biloxi Shuckers General Manager Chuck Arnold said, “Extremely excited about it. First time in 78 years that a Major League club’s been to Biloxi, so it should be a great day.”
“Baseball fans, it’s a no brainer. I mean, you get to watch a Major League Baseball team in your backyard. I mean, players you watch on TV every single night and to be a part of a once in a lifetime deal, plus its special to the Gulf Coast and special to Biloxi,” said Shuckers Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting Chris Harris.
The Biloxi Shuckers new mascot will be unveiled after the first half inning.
