Biloxi River Flooding

The Harrison County area is still dealing with the aftermath of yesterday’s heavy rainfall.
At last check, the Biloxi River was over flood stage, cresting right around 15 feet. The good news is the water is now descending. The Biloxi River is expected to dramatically decline over the next couple of hours and should be out of flood stage by noon on Thursday.
Law enforcement and emergency officials are encouraging everyone who travels near the river to respect any barricades they may see and to always remember the phrase: “turn around, don’t drown.”
