Biloxi Ride Free Summer Shopper’s Day is Saturday

Tomorrow you and your friends can explore Biloxi without worrying about who is driving.

It’s Ride Free Summer Shopper’s Day in Biloxi on Saturday. Thanks to the Coast Transit Authority, you can hop on a bus or trolley in Biloxi all day long and ride fare-free without having to pay a penny.

This is their last free ride of the summer so Executive Director Kevin Coggin encourages everyone to take advantage of it. “We’re encouraging people to get out, enjoy this beautiful weather, see what Biloxi has to offer, all the neat things there, gaming, restaurants, other entertainment venues. All those great things there is to do, and also a little reward for our customers to have free fares for a day.”

CTA has seen a 25 percent increase in ridership on their Ride Free Saturdays this summer.

Coggins wants to assure customers, CTA is very health conscious as they navigate through COVID-19 with continued spacing on buses and a mask requirement for all riders.
