Biloxi police to participate in Unity Rally Saturday

Another unity march and prayer will take place this weekend this time in Biloxi.

The Unity March and Prayer will take place tomorrow morning, organizers say they are marching to stop hate, violence, racism, and discrimination and they are praying for healing, change, and love.

Many city officials will be at this march including the Biloxi Police Department. Police Chief John Miller will be giving a speech at the event and he says he’s been appreciative of our community for coming together in a peaceful way. “There is an opportunity for people to get out to support what they believe in. Certainly there will be people there with differing opinions on things, but I expect everything to go well and I expect everyone to be behaved and I truly believe that they will be. I think it will just be a nice day.”

Remember we are still in the middle of a health pandemic so you are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing during this event.

The march will start tomorrow at 9 a.m. at the Biloxi Town Green and will end on the steps of the Biloxi City Hall.
