Biloxi Police Department providing crime mapping of the whole city

The Biloxi Police Department is providing crime mapping of the whole city.

Crime mapping works by downloading Biloxi PD’s reports and displays the information so it is easily accessible to anyone curious about the crime in Biloxi neighborhoods as well as the whole city.

You can sort through the data by date, area, types of crime committed, as well as crime rates.

When you view the map, icons will be displayed with different colors and symbols representing each type of crime.

The map and charts will show you every type of crime from burglary, DUI arrest, vehicle theft, and more. Special Events and Public Information Officer Captain Brian Dykes said, “It is especially valuable if you’re new to the area and want to find out what is going on, where things happen, and what you should be on the lookout for.”

The program is free and you can sign up for notifications when crimes occur in your specific neighborhood at crimemapping.com.
