Biloxi Pawrade returns for 2022

A special parade in Biloxi Sunday might raise some ears, the annual Pawrade returns after it was cancelled last year due to COVID.

Bring a lawn chair to the town green from noon to 3 p.m. for a view of the wet-nosed celebration. The king and queen pups of both this year and last year’s canceled pawrade are set to appear.

The Krewe of Barkloxi has invited a few special guests like Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, Gulf Coast Kennel Club, and others.

The parade is to benefit the Humane Society. Biloxi Bay Area Chamber of Commerce Director Tina Ross-Seamans said, “So if you can reach into your heart and your wallet and help the Humane Society — I know they’ve been really overwhelmed the last couple of days with strays coming in — so if you can go adopt, that would be icing on the cake. And then to showcase our adoptables Sunday at the Humane Society, I think it’s going to go a long way to get these pets forever homes.”

The pawrade is set for Sunday afternoon from noon to 3 p.m. in Biloxi.
