Biloxi National Cemetery Cleanup
Hundreds of volunteers flooded the Biloxi National Cemetery early this morning to collect flags placed on graves for Memorial Day.
More than 20,000 flags needed to be picked up, giving our community yet another opportunity to honor our fallen heroes.
Jannetta Hossley is from Meridian and did not have a chance to attend the ceremony yesterday, but stopped by this morning to help with cleanup efforts. “They said we had a lot more people than we had last year, but it was enjoyable, but hot. I have a brother that served in Vietnam and my husband has family members that served in all four branches and it’s important to volunteer your time and honor our vets.”
