Biloxi Mother Charged With Attempted Murder

On October 06, 2015, the Gulfport Police Officers arrested 26 year old Nomatter Gava-Hudson, of Biloxi, on the charge of Attempted Murder.
The arrest was the result of a Gulfport Police Patrol response to 2301 East Beach Boulevard (Jones Park) in reference to a stabbing. At approximately 10:53 p.m., officers located a 3 year old victim who had apparent stab wounds to the abdomen. It was later learned that the father screamed for help after the suspect/ mother stabbed the victim to the abdomen. American Medical Response (AMR) was summoned to the scene and later transported the child to an area hospital for treatment. The victim was later flown to a Mobile, AL hospital for further treatment.
The suspect/ mother, who remained on scene, was arrested and transported to the Gulfport Police Department. What led to the stabbing is unknown at this time.
Based on the information received on scene, a warrant was obtained for Gava-Hudson’s arrest on the charge of Attempted Murder.
After booking and other procedures, Gava-Hudson was transported to the Harrison County Adult Detention Facility to be held in lieu of a $1,000,000.00 bond set by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner.
