Biloxi Man Convicted of Murder
A Biloxi man was found guilty of shooting and killing his girlfriend’s son following an argument. Forty-seven year-old Rodise Jenkins III represented himself during the trial.
Jenkins shot and killed his girlfriend’s son, Anthony Wheaton, after a heated argument in October of 2014.
Wheaton’s mother, Hazel Turner, says Jenkins went to his truck after the argument and retrieved his magnum revolver. He then shot Wheaton multiple times on the porch. Wheaton then retreated into the home, lying down on the living room floor when Jenkins came back inside and shot Wheaton again in the head and chest.
Jenkins was sentenced to life in prison.
