Biloxi man already in prison on sex charges, pleads guilty to more sex crimes in federal court
A 37-year-old Biloxi man, already in state prison on a 40-year-sentence on sex crimes, pleaded guilty to federal sex crime charges.
Quincy LaBauve was sentenced in Harrison County in 2018 to one count of sexual battery and two counts of exploitation of a child.
While in prison in 2020, LaBauve, using a contraband cellphone, asked an undercover officer to help him find someone to share child pornography with him. During the exchange, LaBauve sent about 10 images to the undercover officer depicting child exploitation. He also encouraged the officer to perform acts on his child and videotape the acts.
A search of his cell by Department of Corrections officials turned up two contraband phones, one showing the chats with the undercover officer and at least 78 images of child exploitation.
He pleaded guilty in federal court in Washington, D.C. , to one count of distribution of child pornography and sentenced to 19.5 years, to run concurrently with his current 40-year sentence. He also will serve a lifetime term of supervised release.
