Biloxi High School student killed in wreck

The mother of the 16-year-old Biloxi boy killed in a two car accident last night tells News 25 her son was the light of her life and a friend to everyone he met.
Biloxi High School student Tyler Cooke died in the hospital after losing control of his car on Highway 90 near the Edgewater Mall in Biloxi. The car Cooke was driving flipped across the median and landed in the westbound lane when it was hit by a gold Toyota Camry with two people inside.
Police are still investigating the two vehicles involved in the fatal crash. The Chevy Impala Cooke was driving was torn apart on impact. Biloxi Police Officer Jason Cummings said, “Changed lanes abruptly, lost control, crossed the north median, into a westbound lane of traffic at that time there was a gold Camry, traveling westbound that made impact with this Chevy Impala’s right side. Due to the impact, the Chevy Impala split in two.”
The two people inside the other vehicle were taken to the hospital where they remain in stable condition.
