Biloxi High School Show Choir Wins First Place
They’ve gone and done it again. The Biloxi High School Show Choir is a dangerous group, indeed. At least, if you’re competing against them. The choir, known as the Sound Surge, kicked off their seven week competition season by winning first place on Saturday. The invitational was held at South James High School in Ellisville.
Performers tell News 25 that it felt good for weeks of tough practice to pay off. Senior Sable Mayberry said, “It was just awesome, like you just can’t describe the emotions. It’s different because you sing, you take all the emotions in just a story line and to get an award for that is just crazy. It feels like a theatre and dance award all in one.”
The Biloxi Sound Surge is the only competing high school show choir on the Gulf Coast. The Singing, dancing and story-telling group will perform this Saturday at the Mississippi Show Choir Competition in Poplarville.[mappress mapid=”2145″]
