Biloxi Farmers Market Festival

Today the Charles R. Hegwood Farmers Market was swinging with live music and activities, partnering with Biloxi Main Street for the Biloxi Farmers Market Festival. There was a rainbow of locally grown produce, ready to hit your dinner table.
The festival happens about five times a year, but the market is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays year round under the I-110 overpass near Howard Avenue. There you’ll find an array of flowers, plants, homemade accessories, home décor and fresh locally grown produce. Farmers Market manager Tina Cowart said, “You’ve got homegrown products down here, fresh vegetables. The camaraderie of everybody down here is so different and beautiful. We’ve got a good amount of vendors in this year. I think the economy might be bouncing back and everybody is coming out and spending their money. We’re real happy about it.”
The Charles R. Hegwood Farmers Market is open to the public Tuesday and Thursday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. The next festival is set for September 29th.
