Billy Knight wins Moss Point Democratic Mayoral Runoff Election

Billy Knight took home a victory over Representative Jeramey Anderson in the Moss Point Democratic Runoff.

Knight won the mayoral runoff with 58 percent of the votes. He’ll go on to face Independent Howard Bailey and Republican Richard McBride.

Knight tells News 25 the third time’s the charm as this was his third time running for mayor of Moss Point.

Knight feels he is best to serve the people in his community and is already strategizing ways to go up against his general election opponents. “Keep doing what we’re doing and we’re going to knock on doors and really talk to the people to find out what they want, let them know that I hear them. I’m concerned about what they’re thinking about and I value their opinion and we’re going to try to get to as many as I can to ask them what they think.”

Knight says he looks forward to going to work for the people of Moss Point.
