Bienville Orthopedic perform Mississippi’s first endoscopic spine surgery
Bienville Orthopedic specialists performed the first ever endoscopic spine surgery in the state.
Dr. Joseph Cox completed the process.
The surgery was done using the Arthrex spine system. Dr. Cox says this type of surgery is the next evolution in modern spine care. The technique is said to be ultra minimally invasive.
Dr. Cox says his goal with this technique is to preserve as much normal anatomy as possible while providing pain relief.
The process is said to allow patients to recover and return to activities faster than ever before.
