The Better Educated You Are, The More You Drink?
Having a higher degree may be draining your bank account especially when it comes to alcoholic drinks. According to new data from the bureau of labor statistics Americans with graduate degrees spend close to $1,000 on alcohol per year. That’s roughly ten times more than the $102 the average high school dropout spends. Researchers found people with a high school diploma shell out a little more spending around $276 a year on booze. The data suggests with higher levels of education come higher levels of income, which allows people with higher levels of education to spend more on alcohol. A 2015 Gallup survey says income may not only make a difference though citing Americans discontinuing their education were less likely to drink.
