Beer Festival on Tap for Saturday
Beer enthusiasts unite!
Saturday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., beer drinkers across the Coast will be flooding in the coliseum for the sixth annual Top of the Hops Beer Festival. The festival will feature craft breweries from across the nation pouring more than 150 types of craft beer.
Craft beer is much different than your typical common name brand beer. These breweries want to show you what they got. Food trucks will be on hand, as well as live music to help set the mood for hundreds of beer connoisseurs.
Randy Bressner with Rex Distributing said, “We’ve had quite a few more guests coming through the doors the past couple of years. Getting a lot more questions at the booths. People are actually curious about the beer they’re drinking and what’s coming next.”
Dave Reese with Chandeleur Brewing said, “These events are great because you can come down and talk to the people that made the beer and find out what was going through their heads and not like walking down the shelves of a liquor store, you actually get the story behind the product.”
Forty dollars will get you in the door and allow you to sample as much beer as you want in your two ounce mug. Designated driver tickets are also available for $15.[mappress mapid=”2119″]
