Beauvoir hosting Garden Work Day Saturday

It’s that time of the year again, time to pull up your sleeves and get to work on Mrs. Varina’s Garden.

The Beauvoir is hosting their annual Garden Work Day tomorrow from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Water and snacks will be provided. All you need to bring is your gloves and energy.

Kitsaa Stevens is over development and programs at Beauvoir and she tells News 25 Garden Day is a way to remember Mrs. Varina, wife of Jefferson Davis. “Mrs. Varina’s Garden is the only heritage rose garden that is open to the public here on the Coast. We want it to be beautiful. We want it to be in remembrance of her and just an added attraction for our guests when they come to the beautiful Beauvoir property.”

Beauvoir will host another Garden Work Day on April 10th.
