Beau Rivage Gives $37,000 to Local Charities

Employees of the Beau Rivage are giving back to the community, raising more than $37,000 to give away to eight coastal charities.

The Catholic Service’s Morning Star Program in Gulfport received a $5,000 check Thursday to help with its case management program. Morning Star helps young women in the community plan for their future, also providing pregnancy care and support to mothers in need of baby items. Organizers say the donation will help guide young women to bright futures.

Rachel Alston, social worker with the Morning Star Program, says, "It’s gonna’ help us with everything, case management mostly. We use that to provide financial help to the community in need, and without their help, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do every day."

The Beau also presented checks to the Hancock County Food Pantry and Hope Haven Children Services.
