Beau Rivage donates to local food banks

With casinos closed all across the Coast, the Beau Rivage is giving back to local organizations in the form of food.

The Beau has partnered up with local food banks to donate perishable food they have on property to those organizations.

Community members and Beau Rivage employees loaded up vehicle after vehicle with goods that will go towards feeding thousands of local people during this pandemic.

A total of 25,205 pounds of food was donated overall during the day. Extra Table Executive Director Martha Allen said, “It’ll stay here on the Coast and it’ll go to feeding thousands and thousands of families here on the Coast. That’s what’s important now more than ever. We need to ensure our neighbors have the food that they so desperately need.”

Extra Table, Lord is my Help, and Extend a Hand, Help a Friend are some of the agencies that will benefit from the donation.
