Beach Vendors Get Some Business for Labor Day
Just because Gulf Islands Water Park closed Monday, doesn’t mean you can’t have fun in the sun. There wasn’t a lot of labor going on at our Coast beaches, but beach vendors were out earning money Monday.
While the beaches weren’t packed, there were more people than usual along our coastline enjoying the holiday. More people mean more customers for beach vendors and other nearby businesses, and Monday’s boost is just what local businesses needed.
Pat Pigott of Biloxi Beach Rentals says, "Really, it’s a blessing to have any sunshine considering the last few Labor Days we’ve had. Saturday was kind of not good, and it kind of cut our business down because so much of our business comes from Louisiana."
The fall season officially begins in three weeks.
