Beach cleanup after storm
Sand Beach crews are hard at work in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Cindy. The storm washed trash and logs up onto the shore.
The Sand Beach Authority in Harrison County hit the beach to make sure that they are trash free and ready for upcoming events on the Coast.
News 25 spoke to crews about their efforts. Chris Haggard with the Harrison County Sand Beach Authority said, “We are just trying to get it cleaned up after the storm. A lot of grass, a lot of washed up stuff. So we are just trying to get it as cleaned up in most of the hot spots as we can.”
The crews will be working overtime and on July 4th to make sure that the beaches are clean.
