Bayou View Elem. teacher receives Presidential Award for Excellence in Math and Science teaching

The Mississippi Department of Education announced today that a Gulf Coast teacher has received the highest possible honor a grade school teacher can get.

Millicent Gunter at Bayou View Elementary in Gulfport is the hardworking education to accept the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.

Laura Bivins of Ann Smith Elementary in the Madison County School District also received the honor.
