Bay St. Louis Man Pleads Guilty to Murder and Aggravated Assault

A 57-year-old Bay St. Louis man pleaded guilty today to one count of murder and two counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
Gary Topham, of the Kiln, was sentenced to life in prison for the murder charge and twenty years on each count of aggravated assault. The sentences will run concurrently. The verdict stems from a December 2013 shooting where Topham is accused of shooting his roommate, Bruce Necaise, and barricading himself inside a barn in a standoff against sheriff deputies.
