Baton Rouge Officer Laid to Rest

A funeral was held today for Baton Rouge Police Officer Matthew Gerald. Gerald is one of the three police officers shot to death last Sunday morning by a lone gunman.
The 41-year-old is a former Marine and Black Hawk Chief in the Army who did three tours in Iraq. He had been with the Baton Rouge Police Department for one year.
Gerald is survived by a wife and two young daughters.
Traffic came to a halt on the interstate today in Baton Rouge as a long line of law enforcement officers traveled to pay their respects to the fallen officer at Healing Place Church.
