Bacot McCarty Foundation reschedules Jolly Gala and Golf Tournament due to coronavirus

Like many local organizations, the Bacot McCarty Foundation is feeling the effects of the Coronavirus outbreak.

However, they say their commitment to local organizations and the public remains unchanged.

The foundation has had to postpone many of its affiliated events, including the Jolly McCarty Memorial Gala and the Jolly Golf Tournament.

In the meantime, the foundation is keeping in contact with local nonprofits they partner with about fundraising opportunities later in the year and how the foundation may be able to help out.

Executive Director Todd Trenchard says the foundation will continue its mission this year and pointed to the Coast’s resiliency. “There’s not even a possibility of us not having some kind of fundraiser or possibility of us not coming out the other end and not only helping the nonprofit sector, but  like I said, I think we will help them even more because of the situation at hand.”

As of now, the Jolly Golf Tournament has been rescheduled for May 9th while the Gala is set for May 15th.
