Outside of Gulfport high school remains a bit of construction. But good news for faculty and students the fine art building is complete. Inside are four art rooms, a theater which seats over 250 students, as well as band and choir practice rooms. The band director at Gulfport high compared the first day back as “Christmas morning” seeing what the brand new facility has to offer. Principal Michael Lindsey tells News 25 why he believes the art are important for students “Another opportunity for students to excel.” Gulfport parents and students because of construction vehicles can only enter on courthouse road and exit off Perry Street. Administrators will be outside directing traffic in case of confusion.
