Back Bay Mission Host Open House of Homeless Veterans Project

Back Bay Mission, a non-profit with 92 years of service on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast, is proud to announce the open house of HomePort II; The Mission’s newly constructed home for homeless veterans living in South Mississippi.

The open house will be held Wednesday, December 17th, 2014, from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. The location is 294 Couevas Street in Biloxi, MS 39530.

HomePort II is the Mission’s second structure constructed exclusively to house homeless veterans in South MS. HomePort II is a permanent supportive housing complex and is a result of both federal, private, and local collaborations between Back Bay Mission, The Home Consortium of Biloxi and Gulfport, Biloxi Housing Authority, The Home Depot, Keesler Federal Credit Union, Department of Housing and Urban Development (H.U.D.), and Department of Veterans Affairs.

Back Bay’s Housing Initiatives program seeks to provide affordable, safe and dignified housing opportunities and services for veterans and non-military affiliated low and moderate income persons living in South MS.
