Axe throwing coming to downtown Biloxi
Axe throwing started about five years ago in Canada and has taken the nation by storm. Soon, you’ll be able to get in on the fun and competitions right in downtown Biloxi.
Skal Axe Throwing, located on Howard Avenue, is set to open in late October or early November. It will be complete with four axe throwing lanes with eight targets and a full service bar.
Owner Daniel McNatt says it will be the perfect spot for date night, corporate event, birthday parties, you name it!
Anyone 14 and up can throw, but kids are welcome to observe.
With the general admission you might end up in a lane with someone you don’t know, which McNatt says is part of the fun. “It becomes you’re jabbing with your neighbor ‘you can do it,’ prodding the other team and saying boo. It just becomes a neat team and community environment that we are excited to do. It is nothing like anything else here. Don’t think this is just for big, burly guys with beards and tattoos. This is definitely not.”
They are looking to hire bartenders, registration specialists, cooks, and axe coaches. You can apply at GCAxe.com.
